Kayla Bergh

Barrister & Solicitor

Kayla started working for Kilian & Associates in 2017 as the office administrator. Her time at the firm has been instrumental in shaping and developing the practice and its systems, which are now fully digital. Kayla was then employed as a Litigation Legal Executive at the firm after she completed a New Zealand Diploma of Legal Executive Studies in 2021.

Having been admitted in 2025, Kayla is now practicing as a lawyer in the areas of criminal and civil litigation. She has a significant amount of experience dealing with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

Kayla is available for private instructions and is a supervised provider on Legal Aid matters. She assists Shane on the files assigned to him, which ranges in seriousness, including driving offending, violence and drug-related offending, sexual violation offending, and offending which involves fraud and financial crime.

Unrelated to work and university, Kayla enjoys the outdoors and exploring unfamiliar places with her trusty Japanese Spitz. She also has an (arguably unhealthy) obsession with Formula 1.
